What My Harmonic Egg Sessions Feel Like

Before my first Harmonic Egg session, I never thought I’d write a blog post about it.

I believed my days of sharing personal thoughts with strangers ended with LiveJournal sometime around 2003. Yet here we are. 😊

When I tell people I bought a giant wooden Egg, the reactions are usually entertaining.

“Well, we knew she’d finally crack one day.”

Fair.

But then many of those same people try a session for themselves and walk out saying some version of:

“Okay… that was not what I expected.”

One of the things I’ve learned is that no two people seem to experience the Harmonic Egg in exactly the same way.

And honestly, that makes sense.

We all arrive carrying different thoughts, emotions, stressors, and life experiences.

So What Does a Harmonic Egg Session Feel Like?

The truth is, I can only speak for myself.

My experience may be completely different from yours.

For me, sessions often feel deeply relaxing and surprisingly immersive.

Sometimes I become so comfortable that I drift into a very meditative state where my body feels heavy and I lose track of time.

Other times I’m fully awake, simply enjoying the music, light, and stillness.

Occasionally I’ll notice sensations in different parts of my body during a session. During my very first Harmonic Egg experience, I became especially aware of my right ankle, where I had been dealing with tendonitis at the time.

I’ve also noticed that when I’m carrying a lot of stress or feeling emotionally overwhelmed, my sessions often feel different than when life feels calm and easy.

That’s part of what keeps the experience interesting. No two sessions ever seem exactly alike.

The Part That’s Hard to Explain

There are certain experiences that are difficult to fully describe until you’ve experienced them yourself.

For me, the Harmonic Egg falls into that category.

Some sessions feel quiet and peaceful.

Some feel deeply reflective.

Some leave me feeling like I just took the world’s most effective nap without actually falling asleep.

And occasionally I walk out thinking, “Well, that was unexpectedly interesting.”

The common thread is that I always appreciate having taken the time for myself.

Why I Keep Going Back

I’ve explored a lot of different wellness practices over the years, and I haven’t personally experienced anything quite like the Harmonic Egg.

I typically schedule a session once a week, and each one feels a little different.

Some weeks I leave feeling deeply relaxed. Some weeks I feel refreshed. Some weeks I simply appreciate having spent an uninterrupted hour away from emails, responsibilities, and the pace of everyday life.

And honestly, that alone feels pretty valuable these days.
